Good book
So after my 9:30 class this morning, when I was supposed to be working on a paper on Kenneth Burke's view of rhetoric and poetics, I read this book:

I think I can safely say it's the best Mormon teen fiction I've ever read, and one of the better young adult novels I've read in general. Check it out. Now on to Kenneth Burke, much less pleasant reading . . .

Look! I'm famous!
That's right. I've reached the pinnacle of literary achievement: I was published in The Daily Universe. My BYU-centric spoof of Stephenie Meyer's overwrought style won first place in a Stephenie Meyer writing competition. I am the happy winner of a $25 gift certificate to the Olive Garden and two tickets to the opening night of New Moon.
Not only did I get free things, I've got a new career direction: imitating Meyer for a living. I mean, that's where the big bucks are. This gift certificate is only the beginning . . .

Parking woes
I have had some difficult and trying experiences with BYU parking the past two days. But rather than complain about them, I am going to follow the advice given to Thumper, the bunny: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
